SCPFD Presents Citizen Lifesaving Awards
SCPFD is proud to annouce the presentation of two Citizen Lifesaving Awards.
The Citizen Lifesaving Award which is awarded to a person outside the Fire District who has been involved in a lifesaving effort at an emergency scene before the arrival of the Fire District.
The first Citizen Life Saving Award recognizes an individual whose quick thinking and willingness to act made a life-saving difference. When faced with an emergency, many people hesitate—not everyone is willing to step forward and take action. By beginning CPR before emergency responders arrived, he provided critical care during the most important moments of a cardiac emergency. His calm actions, courage, and commitment to helping another person demonstrate the very best of what it means to look out for one another.
For his lifesaving efforts, the San Carlos Park Fire District was honored to present Blake Thomas with the Citizen Lifesaving Award.

The second Citizen Life Saving Award recognizes an individual whose actions remind us how powerful one person’s willingness to help can be. In a moment of crisis, when someone’s life depended on immediate action, she stepped forward without hesitation. By beginning CPR before emergency responders arrived, she provided critical lifesaving care during those first crucial minutes of a cardiac emergency. Her decisiveness, compassion, and courage reflect the very best qualities of our community. Actions like these truly make a difference and can mean the difference between life and death.
For her lifesaving efforts, the San Carlos Park Fire District was honored to present Allie Fornal with the Citizen Lifesaving Award.
